VRHD
- Summer Phase Sub-adult. Some VRHD color up very quickly indeed as evidenced by this large juvenile. Normal deppei don't begin to acquire bright or distinctive coloration until they approach the 30 inch mark. The same time frame probably applies to VRHD but because of the hypomelanism the colors seem to gather force more quickly. Notice how the top of the head and the dorsal blotches match colorwise. |
