Variable Kingsnake Habitat Habitat, eastern side of Doctor Arroyo. This pure desert habitat with its fractured limestone has both the feel and look of the northern Chihuahuan Desert of Texas, home to Lampropeltis alterna. Closer inspection however, reveals many plant species not native to Texas. Colors and patterns of Variable Kingsnakes from this locality can bear little resemblence to those found in northeastern Nuevo Leon. |
