"Chaos" River Road Alterna Sub-adult. Though it is tempting to say that this is a striped alterna, closer examination reveals a stop-start pattern of orange squiggles overrunning each other. Based on the development of other Chaos specimens, it appears that the orange will be of the type that speckles white with maturity. Once again, the Chaos black cap is in evidence. Interesting lateral patterning on this snake. |
