"Chaos" River Road Alterna
Juvenile
Chaos River Road alterna with diamond pattern. This specimen is a good example of a Chaos
River Road with super symmetry and a wonderful combination of pattern and coloration. The orange is
bright and nearly borderless, the gray is soft and light. The
pattern of the speckles provides a beautiful foil for the orange
diamonds. Animals with this type of speckling are interesting because
the speckles are actually not small spots but are asymmetrical blotches,
co-joined to form zig-zag rafts of pattern - a variation of the "grid" type speckling pattern seen on some River Road specimens.
