Male
This gorgeous male is from pure, unadulterated Laredo
confiscation animal bloodlines. Leonis phase, almost an
intermediate. This bloodline, in it's pure form is quite
different from most of the thayeri bloodlines available
in the USA. The two primary differences lying in the
large adult size these animals attain and the color
pallet. The background color on this animal in life is a
unique, light tawny pastel buckskin that is very easy on
the eyes. The primaries are a soft orange pastel
bordered by deep black. If you like wild type thayeri
you will find this to be a seriously beautiful animal.
Female
The female
is the product of a Vivid/ Dr. Arroyo X Vivid/Dr.
Arroyo crossing. This snake appears to have
phenotypically caught mostly Dr. Arroyo pattern and
color genes. The Dr. Arroyo animal responsible for this
line was a deep moss green leonis phase with red
primaries and is responsible for most of the "green"
thayeri currently in the hobby. Another Dr. Arroyo
phenotypic feature this snake seems to have caught is
the tendency for interesting primaries - shape and
color. This particular snake is a leonis phase with a
background color of mossy green laterally and pale
yellow dorsally. The primaries are a soft, light orange
in the shape of very constricted bow ties. Another cool
feature of this thayeri that we used to see commonly in
wild snakes is the presence of very heavy black
stippling in the background. Back in the day it was not
uncommon to see wild types with stippling so profuse
that it would eventually obliterate the normally colored
backgrounds, turning the animals very dark gray or
partially black while not touching the primaries. This
female is a virgin, raised very slowly with caloric
restriction.
