This is an extremely variable population of Speckled Kingsnakes exhibiting variation in both color and pattern. The speckled pattern on kingsnakes from this area ranges from white to brilliant lemon yellow, even within the same clutch. Both of these animals carry the red belly gene that is unique to this region (and unique among getula.) These snakes share a common mother and different fathers.
